Coom Keildolmen / Coom Wedge Tomb

Schon die Zufahrt zum Coom Keildolmen ist ein Abenteuer: Eine lange, einspurige Straße ohne die Möglichkeit auszuweichen oder umzudrehen. Aber glücklicherweise ist der Verkehr zu den Bauernhöfen am Ende der Straße sehr schwach. Der Dolmen liegt auf einem Privatgrundstück und ist mit einem elektrischen Zaun und Rindern umgeben, die uns beide auf Distanz halten. Aber es ist eine beeindruckende Grabanlage und der Blick auf Bucht und Berge ist ebenfalls beeindruckend.
Already the driving to the Coom Wedge Tomb is an adventure in itself: A long single track road without side tracks or the possibility to turn around. Fortunately the traffic to the few farm houses at the end of the road is low. The dolmen lies on a private property and is surrounded by an electrical fence and cattle, both keeping us at a distance. Nevertheless it is an imposing burial site and the view of the bay and the mountains is also imposing.
