Kilmore Friedhof / Kilmore Graveyard

Am alten Friedhof von Kilmore (Cill Mhór - große Kirche) finden wir die Überreste einer Kirche, die fast vollständig überwachsen ist. Was wir nicht (oder kaum) finden, sind Informationen darüber. Das Gebäude scheint aber schon in der Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts in schlechtem Zustand gewesen zu sein. Der Übersichtsplan am Eingang des Friedhofs weist uns noch auf 14 mit Kreuzen gravierte Grabsteine hin. Und da der Friedhof auf einem Hang angelegt wurde, ist die Aussicht wunderbar.
On the old cemetery of Kilmore (Cill Mhór - big church) we find the remains of a church that is almost completely overgrown. What we do not (or only sparsely) find are information about it. The building seems to have been in a bad state already in the 18th century. The layout plan at the entrance of the cemetery points to 14 cross engraved stones. And as the cemetery is situated on a hillside the view from here is really great.
