Daniel O'Connell baute sich Mitte der 1830er abseits des Herrenhauses ein kleines Sommerhaus im neugotischen Stil, dessen Ruhe er für Studien oder zum Entspannen nutzte. Die Fotos auf der Homepage von Derrynane zeigen das Haus noch im ruinösen Zustand, obwohl es bereits 2016 renoviert wurde.
Wie bei einigen Zierbauten der damaligen Zeit üblich, wirkt das Haus also ob es ein Gesicht hätte.
In the middle of the 1930s Daniel O'Connell built himself at a distance from the manor a small summer house in neo-Gothic style, a quiet place that he used for studies and to relax. The pictures on the homepage of Derrynane still show the house in its ruinous state, although it was already restored in 2016.
As was usual for follys at that time, the house gives the impression of having a face.
