In der Ortschaft Newcastle (An Caisleán Nua) führt eine Stichstraße bis zum Meer. Also fast, denn es ist noch die Eisenbahnstrecke von Dublin nach Wicklow dazwischen, die wir zu Fuß überqueren müssen. Der Kiesstrand dehnt sich im Norden bis zum Horizont aus, im Süden ist der Wicklow Head zu sehen.
In the village Newcastle (An Caisleán Nua) a dead-end road leads to the sea. That is, almost to it, because the railway tracks from Dublin to Wicklow are in-between, which we have to cross by foot. The shingle strand extends in the north to the horizon, in the south we can see the Wicklow Head.
