Die Stadt Wicklow (Cill Mhantáin), die Hauptstadt der gleichnamigen Grafschaft, wurde von den Wikingern als "Wykinglo" = "die Weide der Wikinger" gegründet. Für uns ist sie der ideale Ausgangspunkt für unsere Ausflüge in die Wicklow Berge und die umliegenden Gärten.
Wicklow town (Cill Mhantáin) is the capital of the county with the same name. It was founded by the Vikings as "Wykinglo" = the meadow of the Vikings. For us, it is the ideal starting base for our trips into the Wicklow Mountains and the surrounding gardens.
