Wann und wer die Kirche und den Rundturm von Drumcliff erbaut hat, ist nicht mehr bekannt. Teile der Kirche werden auf das 11. bis zum 15. Jahrhundert datiert. Eine der spärlichen Aufzeichnungen aus dem Jahre 1622 bezeugt, dass die Kirche damals noch verwendet wurde. Der Rundturm ist noch 11 Meter hoch, könnte aber doppelt so hoch gewesen sein.

Die Schautafel am Eingang führt noch weitere Sektionen des Friedhofs an (das Armengrab, die Gruften der prominenten Familien, Gräber aus der Zeit der Großen Hungersnot und von der Choleraepidemie in den 1830ern) und gibt uns einen Überblick über die Geschichte des Friedhofs und die Pflanzen und Tiere der Gegend.

When and by whom the church and the round tower of Drumcliff were built is no longer known. Parts of the church date from the 11^th to the 15^th century. One of the sparse records from 1622 attests that the church was then still in use. The round tower has a height of 11 metres, but its original height could have been double to this.

The panel at the entrance lists further sections of the graveyard (the Pauper's Graves, the vaults of the prominent families, the graves from the time of the Great Famine and from the Cholera outbreak in the 1830s) and gives an overview of the history of the cemetery and the fauna and flora of the area.
