In Newmarket-on-Fergus (ehemals Corracatlin Cora Chaitlín - Caitlíns Wehr) kommen wir zufällig bei diese außergewöhnlichen Kirche vorbei und müssen sie uns genauer ansehen. Sie wurde 1971 vom Bischof von Killaloe der Jungfrau Maria geweiht und ersetzte die alte Kirche vom Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts. Das besondere Merkmal des Gebäudes sind die sieben Giebeln, welche die sieben Pfarren repräsentieren, aus denen das heutige Pfarrgebiet zusammengefasst ist. Eine Statue auf dem Vorplatz der Kirche verrät uns welche: Kilconry, Clonloghan, Bunratty, Fenloe, Kilnasoolagh, Drumline und Kilmaleery.

In Newmarket-on-Fergus (formerly Corracatlin Cora Chaitlín - Caitlín's weir) we stumble across this remarkable church and must have a closer look at it. It was dedicated to the Virgin Mary by the Bishop of Killaloe in 1971, replacing the old church from the beginning of the 19th century. The striking feature of the building are its seven gables that represent the seven parishes that were combined into the present parish. A statue on the forecourt of the church tells us their names: Kilconry, Clonloghan, Bunratty, Fenloe, Kilnasoolagh, Drumline and Kilmaleery.
