Der Castletimon Ogham Stein ist einer der beiden einzigen Ogham Steine in der Grafschaft Wicklow. Er liegt direkt neben der Straße und ist daher leicht auffindbar - im Gegensatz zum Britta Portalgrab, das hier auch irgendwo sein muss, für die wir aber nirgendswo einen Hinweis finden. Die Inschrift aus dem 4. Jahrhundert lautet NETA CARI NETA CAGI und ist vermutlich ein Grenzstein. Eine Legende erzählt, dass die Kratzer der Inschrift von den Fingernägeln der Castletimont Giganten stammen.
The Castletimon Ogham Stone is one of the two only Ogham stones in the County Wicklow. It lies directly beside the road and therefore is easily found - in contrary to the Britta Portal Tomb that also has to be close by, but of which we do not find any hint. The inscription from the 4th century says NETA CARI NETA CAGI and it is thought to be a border stone. A legend tells that the scratches of the inscription were made by the fingernails of the Castletimont giant.
