Marktplatz / Market Square

Am zentralen Platz von Kildare, dem Marktplatz, steht das im 18. Jahrhundert errichtete Markthaus. Heute ist hier die Touristeninformation und das Kulturerbezentrum untergebracht. Neben dem Markthaus steht eine Säule, welche die ewige Flamme der Hl. Brigid symbolisiert.

On the central square of Kildare, the Market Square, stands the Market House from the 18th century. Today it houses the tourist information and the heritage centre. Beside the Market House there is a column symbolising the eternal flame of St. Brigid.
