Rotes Haus / Red House

Das Gebäude wurde in den 1700ern für die Familie Uniacke gebaut. Es bekam den Namen "Rotes Haus", weil es mit Ziegelsteinen erbaut wurde. Das Haus hatte früher zwei Flügel für die Kutschen und die Stallungen. Der (am Bild) linke Flüge wurde umgebaut und gehört heute zum Old Imperial Hotel. Obwohl das Haus durch die Hände mehrere Besitzer ging, blieb sein Inneres fast unverändert erhalten. In den 1980ern erwarben Eamon and Helen Keane das Haus und renovierten es. 2020 wurde es wieder zum Kauf angeboten.

The building was built in the 1700s for the family Uniacke. It got its name "Red House" because it was built with terracotta bricks. In former times the house had two wings for the stage coaches and the stables. The (on the picture) left wing was rebuilt and now belongs to the Old Imperial Hotel. Although the house has passed through the hands of several owners, the interior was left mostly unchanged. In the 1980s Eamon and Helen Keane bought the house and renovated it. In 2020 it was again offered for sale.
