Der Garten wurde anläßlich der Hochzeit von Michael, 6. Earl, und Anne im Jahre 1936 von der Braut selbst entworfen. Die seitlichen Hainbuchen-Pfade bilden den Kreuzgang eines Klosters nach (linkes Bild). Die zentrale Achse bilden zwei weiße Bänke mit den Initialen des Hochzeitspaares und zwei 300 Jahre alte Urnen (mittleres Bild). Die Bänke am Ende des Gartens sind mit Blumenrabatten und Statuen eingerahmt (rechtes Bild).
This garden was designed on the occasion of the wedding of Michael, 6th Earl, and Anne in 1936 by the bride herself. The flanking paths surrounded by hornbeam emulate the cloister of a monastery (left picture). The central axis is defined by two white benches with the initials of the married couple and two urns that are over 300 years old (middle picture). The benches at the end of the garden are rimmed with flower borders and statues (right picture).
