Titanic Denkmal / Titanic Memorial

Am 11. April 1912 verließ die RMS Titanic den Hafen von Cobh, der damals noch Queenstown genannt wurde. Es war dar letzte Hafen vor der Überfahrt nach Amerika, die bekanntlich tragisch endete. Ein Gedenkstein erinnert an die ca. 1500 Opfer dieses Schiffsunglücks.
On April, 11th 1912 the RMS Titanic left the harbour of Cobh that was then still called Queenstown. It was the last port before the voyage to America that as is well known ended tragically. A memorial stone commemorates the about 1500 victims of that maritime disaster.
