Das John Fitzgerald Kennedy Arboretum südlich von New Ross (Ross Mhic Thriúin) wurde 1968 zum Gedenken an den U.S. Präsidenten eröffnet. (Die Familie Kennedys stammt aus dem naheliegenden Ort Dunganstown.) Der Park umfasst mehr als 250 Hektar, in drei Teilen wachsen ca. 4500 Pflanzenarten und -varianten aus aller Welt, wobei besonderer Wert auf Bäume gelegt wird.

The John Fitzgerald Kennedy Arboretum south of New Ross (Ross Mhic Thriúin) was opened in 1968 and is dedicated to the memory of the U.S. president. (The near-by village of Dunganstown is the ancestral home of the Kennedys.) The park covers more then 250 hectares, in three parts grow about 4500 species and varieties of plants from all over the world, especially trees are favoured.
