Vom Strand aus können wir gerade noch die Umrisse des Leuchtturms auf Tuskar Rock (An Tuscar - nordisch: großer Fels), 11 Kilometer von der Küste entfernt, erkennen. Der Leuchtturm wurde in den 1810er Jahren erbaut und warnt Schiffe vor der wahrscheinlich gefährlichsten Stelle der Küste Irlands,

From the strand we can barely recognise the shape of Tuskar Rock (An Tuscar - nordic: large rock), 11 kilometres away from the coast. The light tower was built in the 1810s and warns ships of the perhaps most dangerous spot of Ireland's coastline.
