Raven Spitze / Raven Point

Die Raven Spitze ist der südlichste Punkt des Strandes von Curracloe (Currach Clo) und begrenzt die Hafenbucht von Wexford im Norden. Die Halbinsel ist fast vollständig mit Wald bewachsen, durch den ein einfach zu gehender Wanderweg führt. Die Spitze selbst ist aufgrund zahlreicher Wasserflächen nicht einfach zu erreichen, ein Schild warnt sogar explizit vor Treibsand. Der Rückweg führt uns dann über den weißen Strand, der durch eine hohe Düne vom Wald abgetrennt ist.

Raven Point is the most southern part of Curracloe (Currach Clo) Strand and delimits Wexford Harbour in the north. The peninsula is almost completely covered with a forest, through which an easily walkable hiking trail leads. The point itself is not easily reachable due to many water expanses, a sign even explicitly warns of quicksand. The way back leads us along the white strand that is separated from the forest by a huge dune.
