Kilmokea Gardens

Die Gärten von Klimokea (in der Nähe von Campile (Ceann Poill)) wurden ab 1947 von David und Joan Price angelegt, sind ca. 3 Hektar groß und in drei Teile geteilt: Die "Formal Gardens" (Formale Gärten) liegen direkt beim Georgianischen Haupthaus; durch ein schmiedeeisernes Tor gelangen wir in den "Lower Garden" (Unterer Garten) und über eine Straße in den "Woodland Garden" (Waldgarten).
Die "Formal Gardens" sind wieder unterteilt. Im Bild ist links die "Herbacious Border" (Staudenrabatte), in der Mitte das Haupthaus und rechts das Rosenviertel zu sehen.
The gardens of Kilmokea (near Campile (Ceann Poill)) were laid out by David and Joan Price starting in 1947, they are about 3 hectares in size and split in three parts. The "Formal Gardens" are directly beside the Georgian house, through a wrought-iron door we reach the "Lower Garden" and across a road the "Woodland Gardens".
The Formal Gardens are subdivided. The picture shows the Herbaceous Border on the left side, the Georgian house in the middle and the Rose Quarter to the right.
