Kirche zum Hl. Patrick / St. Patrick's Church

Die Kirche zum Hl. Patrick wurde im Mittelalter erbaut und ist eine der ältesten Kirchen der Stadt. 1649 attackierten die Truppen von Oliver Cromwell die Stadt Wexford, wobei auch St. Patrick zerstört wurden. Die Opfer des Angriffs und auch die Opfer der Revolution 1798 sind am Friedhof um die Kirche begraben.

St. Patrick's Church was built in the Middle Ages and is one of the oldest churches of the town. In 1649 the troops of Oliver Cromwell attacked Wexford town, which led to the destruction of St. Patrick. The victims of that attack, as well as the victims of the revolution in 1798 are buried in the graveyard surrounding the church.
