Loughmacrory Grabkammer / Loughmacrory Chambered Grave

Nördlich des Lough Macrory (Loch Mhic Ruairí) bei der Ortschaft Loughmacrory finden wir gleich zwei megalithische Anlagen. Etwas abseits der Coolaheran Road liegt eine Grabkammer in einem Feld, zweimal umzäunt und von Rindern bewacht. Dieses Grab ist auch als "Bett von Dermot und Grania" bekannt. Hier sollen die beiden bei ihrer Flucht vor Finn McCool übernachtet haben. Besonders auffallend ist der alte Weißdorn, der aus dem Grab heraus wächst.
North of the Lough Macrory (Loch Mhic Ruairí) near the village Loughmacrory we actually find two megalithic tombs. A little off the Coolaheran Road there is a chamberd grave in a field, twice fenced and guarded by cattle. This grave is also known as "Dermot and Grania's Bed". On the run from Finn McCool the pair is said to have stayed overnight here. Attracting our attention is the old white thorn that grows out of the grave.
