Colgagh Lough

(2006-07-25)

The wild forests of Sligo - and especially the small isle of Innisfree - were for the poet W.B. Yeats, who spent here a large part of his youth, the embodiment of solitude, seclusion and rural idyll. We stop several times on one of the many parking places to admire the great landscape with its green hills and blue lakes. Here at Colgagh Lough the bleating of the sheep on the other bank mixes into the scenery.
