Roosky

In Roosky (Rúscaigh, Moor) bleiben wir für ein paar Minuten beim Hafen stehen, um die Brücke zu fotografieren, mit der die Grafschaften Roscommon und Leitrim verbunden sind. Sie wurde 1845 bei der Verbesserung der Schiffbarkeit des Shannon gebaut. Die ehemalige Drehbrücke über das letzte Teilstück (am Bild rechts) wurde 1970 durch eine Hebebrücke ersetzt.
In Roosky (Rúscaigh, bog) we make a stop for a few minutes at the harbour to take pictures of the bridge that connects the counties Roscommon and Leitrim. It was built in 1845 during the improvements of the Shannon navigation. The former swing bridge over the last segment (on the picture to the right) was replaced in 1970 by a lift bridge.
