Lough Ree

Lough Ree ist einer der beiden großen Seen, die vom Shannon durchflossen werden (der andere ist Lough Derg weiter im Süden). Wir fahren in der Hodson Bay zum See und planen einen Spaziergang entlang des Ufers. Aber das Wetter hat kein Mitleid mit uns, es regnet stark, und der Wind bläst uns schnell wieder ins Auto zurück. Selbst die Schwäne verstecken sich lieber im Schilfgürtel.

Lough Ree is one of the two large lakes through which the Shannon is running (the other one is Lough Derg farther to the south). We drive to the lake at Hodson Bay and plan a walk along its shores. But the weather takes no pity on us, it rains heavily, and the wind blows us back into our car very quickly. Even the swans prefer to hide in the reeds.
