Westlich von Rahan (Raithean) kommen wir zu einem Stück des Kanals, wo wir direkt daran entlang fahren können. Die Straße ist einspurig und nicht im besten Zustand. So fahren wir langsam und haben Zeit, die Gegend zu genießen. (Das Rechte ist die Straße, die bei Regennässe fast so glänzt wie der Kanal links.) Das Bild zeigt die Henesy Brücke, die gemeinsam mit dem Kanal in den Jahren nach 1800 gebaut wurde.
To the west of Rahan (Raithean) we come to a part of the canal where we can drive directly along it. The road is single-tracked and far from being good. So we drive slowly and therefore have time to enjoy the surroundings. (The right path is the street that glistens almost as much as the canal when wetted by the rain.) The picture shows the Henesy's Bridge that was built together with the canal in the first years after 1800.
