Blacksod Leuchtturm / Blacksod Lighthouse

Der Leuchtturm am Blacksod Point wurde in den 1860ern gebaut, um die Blacksod Bucht zu einem sicheren Ankerplatz zu machen. Im Jahre 1967 wurde der Leuchtturm elektrifiziert. Und im Jahre 1944 war er entscheidend für den Verlauf des zweiten Weltkriegs (siehe Links).
The lighthouse at Blacksod Point was built in the 1860s to make the Blacksod Bay secure for anchoring ships. In 1967 the lighthouse was electrified. And in 1944 it was crucially for the course of the Second World War (see links).
