Béal Deirg

Wir haben gelesen, dass in der Nähe der Ortschaft Béal Deirg (engl. Belderg) alte Siedlungen gefunden wurden, ähnlich wie bei den Céide Fields. Aber auch hier sind die Iren wieder zu sparsam mit Wegweisern.

Von einer Anhöhe aus sehen wir immer noch nichts, was wie Ausgrabungen aussieht, obwohl wir einen Blick auf die Bucht und die Ortschaft Béal Deirg und die Berge von Nordost Mayo haben: Mám an Cheo (379 Meter) und An Bhinn Mhór (343 Meter). Am rechten Rand noch ein Stück vom An Tamhnach Mhór.

We have read that close to the village Béal Deirg (engl. Belderg) old settlements were discovered, similar to those on the Céide Fields. Alas, the Irish are again too economic concerning signposts.

From a raising we still do not see anything that looks like excavations, although we have a view over the bay and the village of Béal Deirg as well as the mountains of north-eastern Mayo: Mám an Cheo (379 metres) and An Bhinn Mhór (343 metres). On the right border there is still a part of An Tamhnach Mhór.
