Neben dem Parkplatz wurde ein kleiner gemauerte Unterstand errichtet. Davor steht ein Gebilde aus metallenen Röhren - ist das vielleicht eine Windorgel?
Erst Jahre später erfahren wir aus einem Buch über Wander in Irland (Outdoor 413, Conrad Stein Verlag), dass diese Skulptur an die tragische Geschichte der Kinder des Lir (Oidheadh Chlainne Lir) erinnert, die von ihrer eifersüchtigen Stiefmutter für 900 Jahre in Schwäne verwandelt wurden.
Beside the parking place a small shelter made of stone was built. In front of it there is a structure consisting of metallic pipes - is this maybe a wind organ?
It is only years later that we learn from a book about hiking in Ireland (Outdoor 413, Conrad Stein Verlag), that this sculpture reminds of the tragic story of the Children of Lir (Oidheadh Chlainne Lir), who were transformed into swans for 900 years by their jealous step mother.
