Meelick Rundturm / Meelick Round Tower

In der kleinen Ortschaft Meelick, zwischen Bohola (Both Chomhla) und Swinford (Béal Átha na Muice), steht der Meelik Rundturm prominent auf einem Friedhof. Er wurde im 10. Jahrhundert als Teil einer Abtei gebaut, von der heute nichts mehr übriggeblieben ist. An den Rundturm angelehnt ist ein alter Grabstein mit der verwitterten Aufschrift "OR OIT DO GRIENI" (Ein Gebet für Griene) (laut Beschreibung).

In the small village of Meelick, between Bohola (Both Chomhla) and Swinford (Béal Átha na Muice), stands Meelik Round Tower prominently on a cemetery. It was erected in the 10th century as part of an abbey of which nothing else remains. Leaned to the round tower is an old gravestone with the weathered inscription "OR OIT DO GRIENI" (A prayer for Griene) (according to the description).
