Rundturm / Round Tower

Wenige Kilometer außerhalb von Castlebar, ist in unserer Karte ein Rundturm in der Stadt Turlough (Turlach) eingezeichnet. Der Rundturm ist einer von nur fünf, die noch in Mayo vorhanden sind, und stammt aus dem 11. oder 12. Jahrhundert. Und er ist einer der wenigen Rundtürme, die noch das originale Dach haben.
A few kilometres outside of Castlebar, our map hints at a round tower in the town of Turlough (Turlach). The round tower is one of only five round towers that still can be found in Mayo and was built in the 11th oder 12th century. And it is one of the few round towers that still have their original stone cap.
