Moylagh
Turmhaus / Tower House

Vom Loughcrew Garten aus sehen wir eine Ruine auf einem Hügel und machen uns auf die Suche danach. Wir finden dieses Turmhaus im Townland Moylagh (Maigh Locha, Ebene des Sees). Es wurde in der zweiten Hälfte 15. Jahrhundert gemeinsam mit einer Kirche gebaut und bot dem Priester Schutz bei Angriffen. Im Laufe des 17. Jahrhunderts wurde die Kirche aufgegeben und verfiel vollständig. Das Turmhaus hat dem Zahn der Zeit bis heute widerstanden.
From Loughcrew Garden we see a ruin on a hill and set off in search for it. We find this tower house in the townland Moylagh (Maigh Locha, plain of the lake). It was built in the second half of the 15th century together with a church and offered protection to the priest during attacks. The church was abandoned in the course of the 17th century and decayed completely. The tower house withstood the ravages of time until now.
