Fenagh

Menhir / Standing Stone

Auf unserer Karte ist bei Fenagh ein Ganggrab eingezeichnet. Leider können wir es nicht finden. So fragen wir im Besucherzentrum, wo uns eine freundliche Dame erklärt, dass das Grab auf einem Privatgrundstück liegt und nicht besichtigt werden kann. Wir nutzen die Gelegenheit zu einem kleinen Imbiss (im "Dolmen Café"...) und mit Hilfe der Karte im Zentrum finden wir zumindest diesen Menhir. (Die Ruinen zweier Abteien sind zu jung für unseren Geschmack.)

On our map a megalithic tomb near Fenagh is marked. Alas, we cannot find it. So we ask in the Visitors Centre where a friendly lady tells us that the tomb lies on a private property and cannot be visited. We use the opportunity for a snack (in the "Dolmen Café"...) and with the help of the map in the centre we find at least this standing stone. (The ruins of two abbeys are too young for our taste.)
