Adare
The mediaeval town of Adare (Áth Dara - ford of the oak) was redesigned by Lord Dunraven at the beginning of the 19th century. It is often cited as a perfect example for a typical Irish town. The main street through the middle of the town is the main route of the area, the N20; and since Adare is relatively near Shannon airport, almost every visitor in Ireland has at least once passed through this town.
