Normannische Motte / Norman Motte

Bei unserem ersten Besuch finden wir die normannische Motte nicht, aber ein paar Tage später klappt es. Am besten ist es, das Auto am Parkplatz beim Friedhof stehen zu lassen und die letzten paar Hundert Meter Richtung Nordwesten zu Fuß zu gehen. Bei der ersten Rechtskurve ist links ein Gattertor, hinter dem die Motte steht. Die Motte selbst ist in einem schlechten Zustand, aber von ihrer Spitze bietet sich ein grandioser Blick über die ganze Gegend.
During our first visit we do not find the Norman motte, but a few days later we are successful. The best is to let the car at the parking place near the cemetery and walk the last couple of hundred metres towards the north-west by foot. In the first right bend there is a gate on the left side giving access to the motte. The motte itself is in bad shape, but from its top we have a terrific view over all the area.
