Lyneen Bruecken / Lyneen Bridges

Im Townland Lyneen überqueren drei Brücken den Royal Canal. Die Brücke neben dem Parkplatz ist modern, über sie führt die R398. Gleich daneben steht eine der beiden alten Brücken, die beim Bau des Kanals um 1815 errichtet wurden. Sie ist für den heutigen Verkehr zu schmal. Die dritte Brücke ist ca. 1 Kilometer weiter im Norden auf dem Royal Canal Greenway zu erreichen. Von der Bauform her sind die beiden alten Brücken identisch.
In the Townland Lyneen three bridges cross the Royal Canal. The bridge beside the parking place is modern, the R398 passes over it. Directly beside it stands one of the two old bridges that were built during the construction of the Royal Canal ca. 1815. It is too small for today's traffic. The third bridge is about 1 kilometre to the north and reachable by the Royal Canal Greenway. The structural form of both old bridges is the same.
