Zwischen dem Badehaus und dem Abfluss des Teichs, ließ Louisa Conolly künstliche Stromschnellen anlegen, um die "malerische Qualität der Landschaft zu erhöhen". Durch den heutigen dichten Baumbestand entlang der Liffey sind sie jedoch selbst vom kleinen Pfad, der dem Fluss folgt, nicht in voller "malerischer Qualität" zu sehen.
Between the bathing house and the drain of the lake, Louisa Conolly had built artifical rapids to "improve the picturesque quality of the landscape". Due to the dense forest along the Liffey today they cannot be seen in all their "picturesque quality", not even from the small path following the river.
