Direkt neben Schleuse Nr. 27 steht das Grand Canal House, das in den 1790ern als Büro für den Grand Canal gebaut wurde. Bei unserem Besuch 2006 schaut es unbenutzt aus, 2020 wurde das Haus zum Kauf angeboten.
Directly beside lock no. 27 there is the Grand Canal House that was built in the 1790s as office for the Grand Canal. When we visit in 2006 it looks unused, in 2020 the house is offered for sale.
