Glebe House Park

After 1880 the house was let for rent, later sold and used as a hotel. In 1953 the house was acquired by Derek Hill, a painter and passionate collector of art. Hill converted the house into a home again and had the garden redesigned. In 1981 Hill donated the house and the park to the Irish state. The house was now converted to a gallery putting all the pieces of art that Hill collected on display.
