Das Torhaus und die Befestigungsmauer gehören zu den Teilen, die Basil Brooke im frühen 17. Jahrhundert erbauen ließ. Im Torhaus befindet sich heute immer noch der Eingang zur Burg.

The gatehouse and the protecting walls belong to those parts that were built by Basil Brooke. The gatehouse is still the entrance to the castle.
