Das Donegal Eisenbahnmuseum wird von der County Donegal Railway Restoration Ltd. (CDRRL) betrieben. Diese hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, den Besuchern Informationen über die ehemaligen Schmalspurbahnen in Donegal zu vermitteln, die Bahngebäude zu erhalten, und auch wieder einen Teil der alten Strecke (frühere gesamte Streckenlänge 360 km) in Betrieb zu nehmen. Dazu haben die Mitglieder der CDRRL alte Wagons zusammengetragen und restauriert, und auch Gegenstände aus dem Alltagsleben der Eisenbahnbediensteten. Für Eisenbahnenthusiasten und Nostalgiker ist das Museum auf jeden Falll einen Besuch wert.

The Donegal Railway Heritage Centre is operated by the County Donegal Railway Restoration Ltd. (CDRRL). Their goal is to provide visitors with information about the former narrow gauge track railways of Donegal, to maintain the railway stations, and also to restore some of the old parts of the tracks (the total length of the railnetwork was 360 km). For that purpose, the members of the CDRRL have gathered and restored old coaches, and also collected objects from the every day life of the railway attendants. For enthusiasts of railways and for people with nostalgia the heritage centre is more than worth a visit.
