Eisenbahn Viadukt / Railway Viaduct

Als die Eisenbahn von Dublin nach Drogheda geplant wurde, sorgte der Vorsitzende George Alexander Hamilton dafür, dass die Strecke durch Balbriggan führte. Die Eisenbahn wurde 1844 eröffnet und ist bis heute eine wichtige Verbindung zur Hauptstadt.

Im blau bemalten Gebäude (erbaut 1889) under dem Viadukt liegt das Boot der Küstenwache verstaut.

When the railway from Dublin to Drogheda was planned, the chairman George Alexander Hamilton influenced the plans so that the route would go through Balbriggan. The railway was opened in 1844 and is still an important connection to the capital.

In the blue-coloured building (built 1889) under the viaduct the boat of the coast guard is stored.
