Jeremiah O'Donovan Rossa (Diarmaid Ó Donnabháin Rosa, 1831 – 1915) war Mitglied verschiedener Organisationen, die eine gewaltsame Loslösung Irlands vom Britischen Empire forderten. Von 1858 bis 1870 war er dafür in verschiedenen Gefängnissen inhaftiert. 1870 wurde er in die USA ins Exil geschickt. Dort schloß er sich anderen irischen Rebellen an und organisierte Bombenattentate in London. 1885 wurde er von einer Engländerin angeschossen, überlebte aber. Er starb mit 83 Jahren nach jahrelanger Krankheit.
Jeremiah O'Donovan Rossa (Diarmaid Ó Donnabháin Rosa, 1831 – 1915) was a member of various organisations that advised a violent separation of Ireland from the Britisch Empire. That was the reason why he was kept from 1858 to 1870 in various English prisons. In 1870 he was exiled to the USA. There he joined other Irish rebels and organized assassination attacks in London using bombs. In 1885 he was shot by an English woman, yet survived. He died at the age of 83 after years of sickness.
