Der große Innenhof entspricht noch den Ausmaßen der ursprünglichen Burg von König John. Am auffälligsten ist der Bedford Tower, der 1761 anstelle des Burgtores gebaut wurde. Früher waren in ihm die Wachen untergebracht. Auf den beiden Toren stehen Statuen von Stärke und Gerechtigkeit.
The Great Courtyard corresponds to the extents of the original castle of King John. The most prominent building is the Bedford Tower that was built in 1761 instead of the castle gate. The guards were once stationed in it. On the two gates stand statues of Fortitude and Justice.
