Der Hügel des Engels (Cnoc an Aingeal) ist der höchste Punkt der Insel. Die Legenden besagen, dass der Hl. Senan von einem Engel auf die Insel getragen wurde und hier zum ersten Mal den Boden berührte.
Heutzutage fliegen hier nur mehr Vögel, besonders die Kornweihe. Weil diese aber unter Naturschutz steht und sie ihre Nistplätze auf dem Hügel hat, ist der Weg zu den Ruinen einer alten Kirche versperrt.
The Hill of the Angel (Cnoc an Aingeal) is the highest point of the island. Legends tell that here was the first time that St. Senan touched the ground having been flown over to the island by an angel.
Nowadays only birds fly around, especially the Hen Harrier. At this bird is protected by legislation and as it has its nesting sites on the hill, the way to the ruins of an old church is barred.
