Die Marina von Kilrush ist durch eine Schleuse zur Shannon Mündung vor dem Gezeitenhub geschützt. Sie bietet Anlegeplätze für über 100 Boote und auch Wassersportmöglichkeiten. Wer die Meeresbewohner Irlands - speziell die Delphine - näher kennen lernen möchte, kann hier eine Tour buchen. Wir aber gehen an Bord eines der Boote, um nach Scattery Island überzusetzen.
The marina of Kilrush is separated from the Shannon Estuary by a lock that protects it from the tidal rise. It offers berths for more than 100 boats and also other facilities for water sports. For getting closer to Ireland's maritime inhabitants - especially dolphins - tours can be booked here. We however board one of the boats to ferry over to Scattery Island.
