Wo wir in Jahre 1994 noch einfach neben der Straße stehen bleiben mussten, finden wir im Jahre 2012 ein Besucherzentrum mit Parkplatz vor, das dem Ansturm der Touristen gerecht wird. Der Weg zum nördlichen O'Briens Turm ist gut ausgebaut, während der Weg zum südlichen Turm erst in den kommenden Jahren befestigt wird. Im Besucherzentrum befinden sich (neben dem üblichen Geschäft und Cafeteria) eine interaktive Ausstellung über den Burren und eine 3D-Simulation der Kante der Klippen. Und das alles ist in nettem Hobbit-Stil erbaut.
Where in the year 1994 we had to park simply along the road, in 2012 we find a visitor's centre with parking place, meeting the expectations of the onrush of tourists. The way to the northern O'Brien's Tower is well developed, while the path to the southern tower is still under construction during the next years. In the visitor's centre there are (aside from the usual shop and cafeteria) an interactive exhibition about the Burren and a 3D simulation of the edge of the cliffs. And everything is built in a nice Hobbit-like style.
