The River Bann (An Bhanna, "goddess" oder "white river" - depending on the source) is the longest river in Northern Ireland. It rises at Slieve Muck in the Mourne Mountains, flows through the Spelga Reservoir and Lough Neagh (the largest lake of the British Islands) and ends after nearly 160 kilometres at Barmouth in the Atlantic Ocean.
